Ecological lands are areas worthy of protection, fragments of ecosystems of importance to the conservation of biodiversity - natural water reservoirs, field and forest ponds, clumps of trees and shrubs, swamps, bogs, dunes, patches of unused vegetation, oxbow lakes, rocky outcrops, scarps, gravel banks, natural habitats and stands of rare or protected species of plants, animals, and fungi, their refuges and breeding spots or places of seasonal residence.
There are four ecological lands within the administrative reach of the Forest District.
"Dear Meadow" (Łąka Kochana), ecological land
Within the area of 0.88 hectares the western part of Sławskie Lake is located. It is a meadow bog with a succession forest - pine, birch and alder. This area is within Świętobór forestry.
"Myszków Swamp" (Myszkowskie Bagno), ecological land
It covers the area of 5.78 hectares and just as "Łąka Kochana" it is located in Świętobór forestry. The area is a mire with forestation of pine-birch-alder and buckthorn bushes and willows. There are protected plants e.g. sundew, cotton grass, marsh, Cranberry.
"The Jeziorna Valley" (Dolina Jeziornej), ecological land
The land protects the piece of bog meadows located along the ditch running from Jeziorna Lake. It occupies the area of 6.66 hectares and also lies within Świętobór forestry.
You can find a crane which uses similar habitats as its breeding grounds.
"Quiet Wilderness" (Uroczysko Zacisze), an ecological land
It is situated in the area of Radostowice forestry and covers the area of 4.77 hectares. It is a swampy meadow with rare species of thereonof plants belonging to the protected habitats - ryegrass grasslands.
