Within the area of Sława Śląska Forest District there are no protected species of fungi, however you can find interesting and rare species such as: sparassis crispa (Sparassis crispa (Wulf.) Fr.) present in coniferous and mixed forests that grows on the roots of trees both dead and alive, which, since recently one of protected species, now belongs to rare species; root hub (annosus Fomes (Fr.) Bref.) - a parasite which is mainly found on coniferous trees, but also encountered on oaks, birches and beeches); oak powdery mildew (Erysiphe alphitoides (Griffon & Maubl.) U. Braun & S. Takama) - attacks top leaves, sprouts and burgeons of oak trees leading to their death - characteristic evidence of the presence of this fungus is a white coating on the infested trees or honey mushroom (Armillaria mellea (Vahl) P. Kumm.) - occurring on different species of deciduous trees, usually found in large numbers, form clusters of fungi on dead tree trunks.
