Nature reserve includes areas in a natural or slightly changed state, ecosystems, refuges and natural habitats but also habitats of plants, animals and fungi habitats, formations and elements of inanimate nature, outstanding for their natural, scientific, cultural or landscape qualities. Within Sława Śląska Forest District there are 2 nature reserves.
"Mesze", the nature reserve
Created in 1983 mainly to protect water and wetland phytocoenoses overgrowing eutrophic lakes. Nearly 20 hectares of land contain valuable plant communities disappearing on a national scale as well as valuable habitat - transition mires, Chara meadows, marsh reeds communities. Protected and rare plants found here include e.g. round-leaved sundew, lily, white, common cottongrass, Utricularia vulgaris (carnivorous plant).
"Świąte Lake", the nature reserve
An area of nearly 20 hectares has been protected as a nature reserve since 1983 for the protection of a lake supplied with groundwater, management and protection of rare plant communities and protected species. Five groups of reeds and rush and six of floating plants including fragments of Chara meadows have been noted as present on the area.
